Swedish star joins CCR
World Series Renault and ex-Formula 1 test driver Alx Danielsson this week completed a very successful 2 day test with CCR, driving one of the team's Nationwide cars and an ARCA/K&N test car.
Alx commented "I was really glad to get the help of the CCR team - with Crew Chief Bobby (Burrell) and of course Derrike (Cope) for doing these 2 days and making them successful..thanks to their help I got a lot further than I thought in my transition to oval racing...it was so valuable to have Derrike as a driver coach and a mentor. Also I would like to go on saying I felt very welcome from our first talk to the dinners and test days, the time we spent, and to sum up it was very enjoyable and I hope we can continue working".
The 32 year old Swede proved his ability and high level of car control behind the wheel of both cars and took huge strides towards his debut in an ARCA race later in the year. "As a team we are very impressed with Alx's exceptional talent, his rate of learning and willingness to listen to advice and coaching from Derrike" commented Team Manager Andy Woolgar. "Alx's plan is falling into place and together we are working hard as a group to put together a race schedule".
